The Hawaii Convention Center is conveniently situated in the very center of Honolulu. As the center is just at the gateway to Waikiki on the corner of crossing of Kalakaua Avenue and Kapi'olani Boulevard, it's within a short driving distance from many directions. If driving is preferred, you need to consider parking options in and around the convention center.

The Hawaii Convention Center provides on-site vehicle parking. The parking garage is located on the second floor of the convention center. The entrance to the garage is on the Kalakaua Avenue. The parking garage has 690 parking spaces. The garage is catered for most privately owned vehicles. The maximum height clearance is 8′11″. The center parking garage can accommodate up to 140″ wheelbase.

Please note that parking is only allowed during event and business hours at the Convention Center. The parking lot opens one hour prior to any event and closes one hour later after an event of Honolulu. Overnight parking is not permitted at the garage. Parking at the convention center is only restricted to marked parking stalls. Never try to park your cars at locations with No Parking signs, such as service streets, loading dock areas, vacant exhibit halls and designated fire lanes. Vehicles parked at any of these locations may be cited or towed at your expense.

The parking garage charges a daily parking rate of $5 that is restricted to per entry. A second entry into the garage needs another $5 on the same day. Exhibitors and attendees can have unlimited in and out privileges during regular garage hours if they have a parking card. The parking card can be purchased at the Parking Cashier booth with a charge of $25. The parking card will be valid for 30 days from the day purchased. Parking can be free for first 30 minutes.

Exhibitors can park their standard sized vehicles in the parking garage loading zone Row F for loading and unloading. The loading zone is the only place available for vehicles to load and unload. Freight elevators are on the other side of the loading zone. Exhibitors with oversized vehicles need to make a dock reservation in advance. The booking phone is 808-943-3018.

Note: Exhibitors with display vehicles can consult the convention center in advance by calling 808-943-3500. Display vehicles are usually allowed in some designated areas, including the Exhibit Hall Floor, Ballroom, and other limited areas of the public concourses. There are some regulations for display vehicles.

Regulations for display vehicles include:

- All vehicles must have less than 1/8 tank of gasoline.

- Gas tank fuel pipe cover must be taped shut.

- Battery cables for the vehicles are disconnected.

- A piece of carpet or drop cloth with a catch pan is needed to place under the engine for all vehicles.

- Certificate of Insurance is needed and is to be kept on file.

Additional parking is offered at nearby Eaton Square. This mixed use development consists of three buildings: Villa on Eaton Square, Villa Professional Plaza, and Eaton Square Shopping Plaza. The square has a total of 700 on-site parking stalls. Customer parking is available in the parking structure. Besides, ample street parking is also available on surrounding streets and avenues.

Both of self parking and valet parking are offered by nearby hotels. Many great hotels are located near Hawaii Convention Center, like Hawaii Prince Hotel, Hilton Hawaii Village and Hawaiian Monarch Hotel. Hawaii Convention Center is quite easy to reach since it's bordered by the Ala Wai Canal, Kalakaua Ave. and Kapiolani Blvd. For your convenience, routes from various directions are provided.

For people coming from Waikiki, firstly you can drive on Ala Wai Boulevard. Then merge left onto Niu Street. Make a right turn onto Atkinson Drive. Then make your next right turn onto Kapiolani Avenue. Finally make your last right turn onto Kalakaua Avenue. Hawaii Convention Center is just bordered by the Kalakaua Avenue.

If you are starting from Honolulu International Airport, we'll suggest you to take the H-I East on ramp before exiting the airport terminal. Remember to stay on your right lane.
